BLOG: Purpose and point 2026

What’s the point? What does that saying even mean? Words have power, Words are magical. Words create, and words destroy. Jesus states this multiple times in the books. “It is not what you put into your body that DEFILES (destroys) you, it is what comes out of you.”

The metaphor of the “point” is all things. Everything comes down to a point. Every writing word began and ends with one literal point from a writing tool. The “point” is the direct focus without distraction of “another point”.

Point in a general sense can equate to purpose. What is your purpose? I ask this question to a lot of people and most do not have an answer. I didn’t have an answer myself until my 40’s. I had never before that time separated myself from “the world” and spent quality time “looking within” myself. I never considered what my “point” was. Mere existence, living, dying, working, playing. This is what I considered to be “my/ the point”. I was wrong.

Everyone has a point/ purpose. And I believe it is the duty of the devil to distract us during our visit to “life” so that we do not discover our point and grow into it. So what are our purposes? We all have somewhat shared and somewhat different purposes. God has gifted us each “gifts” that embedded in our DNA that drive us to use our gifts. The gift of a beautiful voice brings harmony, peace and joy to others. The ability to play instruments can do the same. Courage is a gift that leads the way for others. Humor is a gift that unites others. The ability to cook feeds and unites others. Fortitude protects others. Being an artist creates ideas for others. Writers, composers and actors provide a literal direction for others. Teaching is a powerful gift, providing education and knowledge to others.

I am a janitor, but this is not my gift. I operate and function highly in my performance when I am able to work quickly, see a task completed quickly, create order out of chaos, work “on a team” but mostly on my own (so that I can think and prosses information). This is a good role for me to make ends meet while I focus on my purpose…. To create unity and help others to spiritually discover themselves and grow.

To be honest, one of my greatest fears is the concept of “reincarnation”, an endless loop of repeating this Earthly existence. Life is insanely difficult; I have no interest in coming back. Humans have been given the gifts of emotion, short- and long-term memory. These are the elements that make life challenging. These are the gifts that can lead to happiness or depression and anxiety.

It is critical to escape the distractions of this world in order to discover ourselves. Alcohol, drugs, porn, angry talk, judgement, gossip, sugar, smoking, junk food, soda, movies, tv, trash music and more are all here to distract us all from becoming our true selves. But I get it, they are fun, they create dopamine boosts in our brains and “Help us relax”. We all need help relaxing because of all the chaos we have horded in our minds during our existence. The only way to honestly get passed this chaos is….. forgiveness, mercy and grace. I will end this here but take some time and consider these three words. What do they actually mean? When you discover forgiveness, mercy and grace and step away from the distractions that cloud your mind and judgement, you will find your purpose. Then, you work on your purpose, refine it, shape it, live in it. You wont be good at it in the beginning, but you will find enjoyment in the struggle. Like riding a horse, a bike or playing an instrument, you build character in the failure, and you don’t care what others think because you have found yourself.

Peace.
